Dress Rental Policy

CÉLOA KIDS Dress Rental Policy

Beautiful dresses for unforgettable moments. Please review our rental terms before booking.

1. Booking Your Dress

Dress rentals are available within Canada and are subject to availability for your selected dates.

Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received and you have received our booking confirmation.

Please provide your event date, required size, and delivery or pickup preference. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the rental.

Rental prices cover temporary use of the dress only. Dresses remain the property of CÉLOA KIDS.

2. Rental Period

Our standard rental period is 4 calendar days, including the day you receive or collect your dress.

Your confirmation will state your rental start date and exact return deadline.

For shipped rentals, the return deadline is the date by which you must hand the parcel to the designated carrier. Return transit time is not included in your 4-day rental period.

Extensions must be approved in advance and may involve an additional fee.

3. Toronto & GTA Rentals

Local pickup and return may be arranged by appointment. We will provide the location and available times when confirming your booking.

Local delivery may be available for an additional fee, confirmed before payment.

Please return your dress at the agreed location and time. Do not leave rental items unattended unless we have approved this in writing.

4. Rentals Across Canada

Shipping is available to eligible Canadian addresses where delivery timing allows.

Please book early enough for the dress to arrive before your event. We recommend selecting a rental start date 1–2 days before the occasion.

Outbound and return shipping costs are paid by the customer and disclosed before payment. Free shipping offers for purchases do not apply to rentals unless expressly stated.

We will provide return instructions and a prepaid return label, with its cost included in your confirmed shipping charges. Please obtain and keep a carrier acceptance receipt.

If you hand the parcel to the designated carrier on time, you will not be charged late fees for subsequent carrier delays.

5. Sizing & Fit

Please check the measurements in the product listing before booking. Age recommendations are a guide only.

Contact us before reserving if you need help choosing a size.

Try the dress on promptly after receiving it, indoors and with care. If it does not fit, contact us within 24 hours and before the event. We will check whether an alternative is available; exchanges cannot be guaranteed and additional delivery costs may apply.

An accurately described dress that does not fit is not automatically eligible for a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Dress Condition & Cleaning

We inspect and clean each dress before every rental. As rental garments may have been worn previously, minor signs of wear may be present without affecting their appearance or use.

Standard professional cleaning is included in the rental price.

Please do not wash, dry-clean, iron, alter, cut, glue, or repair the dress yourself. Contact us for guidance if steaming is needed.

Avoid permanent markers, paint, glue, self-tanning products, and other substances that may permanently stain the fabric.

7. Inspection on Arrival

Please inspect the dress and any included accessories as soon as they arrive.

Report any damage, missing items, or significant difference from the listing within 24 hours, with photographs where possible. Pre-existing wear or damage will not be charged to you.

If we supply the wrong dress or a dress that is materially defective or not as described, contact us promptly. We will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund and cover the necessary return shipping.

The reporting window does not limit any rights provided by applicable law.

8. Refundable Security Deposit

If a security deposit is required, its amount will be shown before payment and confirmed with your booking.

The deposit is separate from the rental price. Any remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 business daysafter we receive and inspect the returned items. Bank processing times may vary.

Any proposed deduction will be explained and supported by photographs or relevant cost information. A deposit does not limit responsibility for documented loss or damage under this policy.

9. Damage, Loss & Missing Items

Normal wear and stains removable through standard cleaning are included in your rental.

Additional charges may apply for damage beyond normal wear, including tears, burns, permanent stains, unauthorized alterations, missing accessories, or loss of the dress.

Charges will reflect reasonable, documented additional cleaning, repair, or replacement costs. We will not charge both repair and full replacement costs for the same damage.

The maximum replacement value of the dress and any accessories will be disclosed before payment. Replacement charges will take the item’s condition into account and will not exceed that disclosed value.

We will contact you with details before requesting an additional payment or applying a deposit deduction. Additional card charges require separate authorization.

10. Returning Your Dress

Please return the dress with all included accessories and any reusable garment bag or packaging identified in your booking.

You do not need to clean the dress before returning it.

For shipped returns, use the supplied label and follow our packing instructions. If you cannot use the designated return service, contact us before arranging another carrier.

11. Late Returns

Please contact us immediately if you expect to miss your return deadline.

An unapproved late return may incur a fee of CAD $20 per dress per calendar day, beginning the day after the agreed deadline.

Late fees are capped at the dress’s disclosed replacement value. If the dress is lost or never returned, late fees already paid will be credited toward any replacement charge.

We do not charge late fees for delays caused by us or for carrier delays after a timely return handover supported by an acceptance receipt.

Paying a late fee does not automatically extend your booking.

12. Cancellations & Date Changes

Unless applicable law provides otherwise:

  • 14 or more calendar days before the rental start date: full refund of the rental fee.
  • 7–13 calendar days before the rental start date: 50% refund of the rental fee.
  • Fewer than 7 calendar days before the rental start date: the rental fee is non-refundable.

Security deposits and unused shipping charges will be refunded. Any shipping amount retained must relate to a service already used or a cost that cannot be recovered.

Date changes are subject to availability. If we cannot accommodate your requested change, the cancellation terms above apply.

Once the rental begins, no refund is provided solely because the dress was not worn, the event was cancelled, or the dress was returned early.

13. If We Cannot Fulfil Your Booking

If a dress becomes unavailable, we will contact you promptly. You may choose an available alternative or receive a full refund of all amounts paid for the affected rental.

We will not substitute a dress without your approval.

If a shipped dress does not arrive by the confirmed rental start date, contact us immediately. If it cannot arrive in time for your event and you cannot use the rental, we will refund the rental fee and related shipping charges and arrange its return at our expense.

14. Rental & Purchase Items

Some styles may be offered for both rental and purchase. Please check the selected option carefully before checkout.

Our standard purchase return policy applies to purchased items. This policy applies to rentals.

15. Questions & Consumer Rights

Please contact us through the Contact page at celoakids.com or reply to your booking confirmation with any questions or concerns.

All amounts are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and additional charges are disclosed before payment.

These terms do not exclude or limit any rights or remedies available under applicable Canadian provincial or federal consumer protection laws.
